What happened
Meta announced that its Ray-Ban Display glasses are expanding to France, Italy and Germany. Pre-orders in those countries will begin progressively, while online ordering and retail sales are planned from October 13. In France, prescription options are planned through EssilorLuxottica optical stores from that date.
What changes for you
French buyers will have a local route to see and purchase the display-equipped glasses, rather than relying on an overseas launch. Availability and supported features should be checked locally before ordering.
What to keep in mind
These are Meta's plans, not a SIGNAL hands-on review. The announcement does not give a French price. New cycling and transit directions are scheduled first for the U.S. and Canada; the hologram feature is planned for U.S. early access later this fall. Do not assume either is available in France at launch.
